VINOD Claro is our heavy-gauge stainless steel cookware series — thick, sturdy, rust-free pieces in both plain and hammered finishes, spanning kadai, tadka pan, saucepan, fry pan and tope. Built in 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm gauges from food-grade steel, Claro is made for cooks who want the durability and stove-to-table looks of proper heavy cookware, in sizes from a small 500 ml to a large 6300 ml.
What is the VINOD Claro series?
Claro is a complete heavy-gauge range, not a single product. Whatever you cook — a bubbling sabzi, a deep-fry, a slow-simmered tope of dal or a quick tadka — there is a matching Claro piece, and most come in your choice of a smooth plain finish or a traditional hammered finish.
Products & styles in the Claro range
- Claro Kadai (2.5 mm) — heavy-gauge hammered and plain kadais for sabzi, gravies and deep-frying.
- Claro Tope / Patila (1.5 mm) — hammered and plain topes for milk, dal, rice and curries.
- Claro Tadka Pan (1.5 mm) — hammered and plain pans for tempering spices.
- Claro Sauce Pan (1.5 mm) — hammered and plain saucepans for milk and small gravies.
- Claro Fry Pan (1.5 mm) — hammered and plain fry pans for shallow-frying.

Plain vs hammered: which finish to choose?
| Plain finish | Hammered finish | |
|---|---|---|
| Look | Smooth, clean, modern | Textured, traditional, premium |
| Everyday marks | Shows scratches a little more | Dimples hide marks well |
| Cleaning | Quick wipe | Easy, with a little more texture |
| Cooking performance | Same | Same |
Both finishes cook identically — choose plain for a modern look or hammered for a classic, mark-hiding surface you can bring stove-to-table.
How does heavy-gauge cookware help?
Gauge is the thickness of the steel. Claro uses a substantial 1.5 mm gauge on topes, tadka, sauce and fry pans and a heavier 2.5 mm gauge on kadais. Thicker steel means it does not warp or dent, holds and spreads heat more evenly so gravies simmer without scorching hot-spots, sits stable on the flame, and simply lasts longer. You feel the difference in the reassuring weight of every piece.

Material & cooking
Claro is food-grade stainless steel — rust-free and non-reactive, so tangy tomato, tamarind and lemon dishes cook without any metallic taste or staining. The range is designed for gas and traditional flame, where the heavy gauge shines with stable, even heat. For an induction-ready base, see our sandwich-bottom Majestic and triply Titanium Triply ranges.
Warranty & care
Backed by VINOD Steel's product warranty, from a brand making stainless steel in India since 1962. Let it cool before washing, clean with mild dishwashing liquid and a soft scrub, and dry fully; warm water with baking soda lifts stubborn residue.
